Sabrina Grover

Sabrina Grover returns to Northwest Model United Nations as Secretary-General of NWMUN-Portland 2017. She previously served as Secretary-General of NWMUN-Portland 2016, as well as on the staff of NWMUN-Seattle for three years, most recently as Assistant Secretary-General for Logistics in 2014. Sabrina has been involved with Model United Nations since 2006 in a variety of roles; she previously served for five years as the Secretary-General of the Calgary High School Model UN, as well as serving as a staff member at National Model United Nations - New York since 2010. Sabrina graduated from the University of Calgary with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Economics. She currently works in external and government relations in Calgary.

Kristina Getty

Kristina Getty began participating in Model UN when she joined the Model UN team at the University of Colorado (CU) as a freshman. She served as Vice-President and President during her time on the team and helped develop the team's first high school conference. Kristina graduated from CU in 2009 with a triple major in International Affairs, Spanish Language, and Germanic Studies. While she pursued several internships and her graduate degree in International Studies at the University of Denver she began serving on staff for the National Model UN D.C. and New York conferences. She staffed multiple committees with NMUN and then had the opportunity to serve as executive staff for both conferences from 2013 - 2016, culminating in serving as Secretary-General for the New York conference in 2016. She is now eager to help build other conferences and support local and regional simulations with NWMUN-Portland.

Whitney E. Thompson

Whitney E. Thompson has been involved in Model UN for over 15 years. She has attended high school and collegiate conferences as a delegate, and has held a variety of staff positions. Whitney graduated from Western Washington University, in Bellingham, WA, after completing majors in Human Development: Self-Expression and Therapeutic Healing and Linguistics, and a minor in Women's Studies. At WWU, Whitney was involved in Model UN through the International Affairs Association, for which she held various officer positions. Whitney works in the insurance industry and lives in Tacoma, WA. She volunteers annually with The Festival of Trees (benefiting Mary Bridge Children's Hospital). Whitney is a member of the Tacoma Fiber Crafters' Guild and enjoys her recreational bowling league.

Michael Litchev

Michael Litchev is excited to serve the Model UN community as Assistant Secretary-General of Logistics for NWMUN-Portland 2017. Michael has been passionate about Model UN since his first collegiate conference, NWMUN-Seattle 2011. As a college freshman, Model UN gave him an opportunity to develop his public speaking and research skills while meeting interesting people from across the country. Michael holds a Bachelors of Political Science from Western Washington University, with a minor in Philosophy. His outside interests include civic technology, economics and exploring the world.
